New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference
I wish to bring to your attention the concern of Right to Life at the mandatory vaccination by the State of tens of thousands of workers in the health, education and other sectors with the experimental gene therapy manufactured by Pfizer.
Those who refuse vaccination are threatened with loss of employment. Right to Life believes that this is a serious violation of human rights that are protected by the NZ Bill of Human rights.
It is contended that the action of the government violates the right of people to refuse to have a foreign substance injected into their body without their consent.
Right to Life believes that if the government is successful in mandatory vaccination it will result in unvaccinated doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, midwives and teachers being driven from their profession. These professionals require an annual licence to practice which could be refused if they are not vaccinated.
It is understood that mandatory vaccination is contrary to the teaching of the Catholic Church. The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on 21st December 2020 in a “Note on the morality of using some anti-Covid -19 vaccines”, stated paragraph 5:-
“At the same time, practical reason makes evident that vaccination is not, as a rule, a moral obligation and that, therefore, it must be voluntary”.
Mandatory vaccinations violate the Nuremburg Convention and the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990, which protects the right to life, the right to refuse medical treatment and the right to practise one’s religion. The Human Rights Act 1993 includes the right not to be discriminated against. The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights protects the right to privacy.
NZ Bill of Rights 1990
Section 10, Right not to be subjected to medical or scientific experimentation Every person has the right not to be subjected to medical or scientific experimentation without that person’s consent. 4 Reprinted as at 1st July 2013 New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990 Part 2 s 17.
Section 11, Right to refuse to undergo medical treatment Everyone has the right to refuse to undergo any medical treatment.
It is acknowledged that section 5 provides for justified limitations.
The president of Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals Division told international “experts” during a globalist health conference that the mRNA COVID-19 shots are indeed “cell and gene therapy” marketed as “vaccines” to be palatable to the public.
Stefan Oelrich, president of Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals Division, made these comments at this year’s World Health Summit, which took place in Berlin from October 24-26 and hosted 6,000 people from 120 countries. Oelrich told his fellow international “experts” from academia, politics, and the private sector that the novel mRNA COVID “vaccines” are actually “cell and gene therapy” that would have otherwise been rejected by the public if not for a “pandemic” and favourable marketing.
I would be grateful if you would confirm that it is the teaching of the Catholic Church that vaccination should be voluntary and that every person has a right to refuse to have a foreign substance injected into their body without their consent.
The Catholic Church is at the forefront in defending the human rights of every human being. Right to Life believes that it would be a great service to justice and to those being unjustly threatened with dismissal if the NZCBC were to speak up in defence of their inalienable human rights by affirming that mandatory vaccination is a serious violation of human rights.
Thank you for all that you do to uphold the God given dignity of the human person.
