Media Release 3rd February 2022
Twenty-three Vulnerable Patients Killed by the State
Right to Life, has been advised by the Ministry of Health in response to an Official Information Act request that 23 patients have been killed by their doctor or assisted in their suicide since the 7 November, 2021 to the 23 January, 2022.
The government of Jacinda Ardern commenced on 7 November 2021, the contract killing of vulnerable patients in New Zealand, under the guise of health care.
The Prime Minister fully supported and voted for the End of Life Choice Act together with 39 members of her caucus. Only 13 were permitted to oppose the bill. There were 114 amendments to provide added protection for patients, all but three were voted down with a minimum of debate.
The 7th November is a day of shame, it marks the day when the State commenced a State funded killing of patients in accordance with the End of Life Choice Act 2019. Since the founding of this country, there has been a total prohibition on the taking of the life of an innocent human being, this was the foundation of the law and of medicine, that has now changed. Parliament has arrogantly usurped God’s authority and has decreed that Parliament shall decide who shall live and who shall die.
Right To Life is committed to oppose the imposition of this intrinsically evil legislation. We will seek to expose it for the threat that it is to the most vulnerable, we will vigorously oppose the expected attempts of the ACT Party to extend the scope of the killing to include those with a disability and the inclusion of advance directives.
Abortion and euthanasia are intrinsically evil, part of a culture of death and a violation of the 5th Commandment: You shall not kill. The government, under the Associate Minister of Health, Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall, has set up in the Ministry of Health the Quality Assurance & Safety Health Systems Improvement & Innovation unit, to oversee and promote access to abortion and euthanasia for all New Zealanders.
The killing of vulnerable dying patients is an “essential core health service” with unlimited funding and no waiting lists. The government generously rewards doctors who are prepared to violate their medical ethics and kill patients in accordance with the law. A doctor may claim fees up to $3,000 for each patient they kill. Palliative care is not fully funded, it is cheaper to kill than to care.
The Ministry of Health declined Right to Life’s request for the following information:-
- The number of requests for termination of life that were declined.
- The number of persons who had their lives terminated in accordance with the [EOLC] Act in hospitals, hospices, retirement homes or in their own homes.
This information was declined on the grounds to protect the privacy of the natural persons .How can this request in ANY way infringe privacy? It is simply a tactic to refuse to release information which should be available to the public.
When the State assumes the right to decide whose lives are of value and who may be killed we are then living under a tyrannical State.
