Government Introduces Helpline for Killing Unborn Children

Murder of unborn is now only a phone call away. Right to Life is devastated that the government will encourage the killing of unborn children and the wounding of women with the provision of a free taxpayer funded helpline commencing on the 26th April.

 Right to Life is totally opposed to the helpline being managed by the very two organisations that are at the forefront in the war against women and the unborn, the Family Planning Association and Magma Healthcare Ltd.

Dr Ayesha Verrall, Associate Minister of Health, is jubilant that this telehealth helpline will make it easier for people to kill their unborn children safely and quickly saying “it is “a huge step.”

Family Planning is currently seeking funding from government to allow it to provide early medical abortions up to nine weeks gestation from all of its thirty clinics. Magma Healthcare Ltd has contracts with three District Health Boards to kill unwanted unborn children residing in their areas. Dr Simon Snook, founder of Magma Healthcare Ltd, is one of the busiest and most dedicated abortionists in New Zealand. These organisations shamefully consider our precious unborn as merely, ”the contents of the womb, the products of conception and the ultimate denial of their humanity, medical waste.”

Right to Life believes that the helpline will provide a potential lucrative income stream for these organisations. For every woman that they can successfully coerce to accept to kill their unborn child, they can claim a fee from the government in excess of $1,000.

We would be naive in the extreme to believe that those working on the helpline will be neutral about killing children before birth. These counsellors are employed to promote profits, not to protect women and their precious unborn. Right to Life believes that the Helpline and Telemedicine will result in a substantial increase in the killing of unborn children who are unique and unrepeatable miracle of God’s loving creation. These children are human beings from conception and are endowed with an inalienable right to life. It is simply unbelievable that the government of Jacinda Ardern approves of the killing of the unborn by simply making a phone call!

Right to Life asks the government why it is prepared to fund with millions of dollars, a helpline to promote the killing of unborn children and is unwilling to provide a helpline to provide help to women to choose life for their child or to provide funding to the pro-life and pro- women pregnancy counselling services.

The government’s program of death for the unborn provides for abortion related counselling over the phone from July 1. The final step planned for November, 2022 includes telemedicine – providing clinical consultations for an early medical abortion conducted over the phone and the couriering of the lethal drugs to the women’s home. It is intolerable that this government which claims that it is committed to keeping us safe should treat our women with such deplorable contempt and our precious children as medical waste.

Right to Life believes that it is insane for the government to be promoting the killing of the unborn especially in the light of the New Zealand birth rate now at 1.66 for 2021 as we descend increasingly into the demographic winter. The replacement level is 2.1. Why is the government promoting demographic suicide? A nation that kills its own children is a nation that does not have a future.

Stop Family Planning from killing the unborn and wounding women

Right to Life believes that the most dangerous place in New Zealand for a woman and her unborn child is in a Family Planning Association clinic.

 Right to Life is opposed to the government contracting out to NZ Family Planning the killing of “unwanted “ children before birth.

 Right to Life is opposed to Family Planning converting its 30 clinics into killing centres for our precious unborn children. The Family Planning Association in its 2021 annual report disclosed that it was now going to seek appropriate funding from government to provide abortions at all of its 30 clinics in New Zealand, this is bad news for women and for their defenceless unborn.

 Right to Life is  totally opposed to Family Planning being provided with government funding to provide this “service.” Family Planning received $13,842,804 from the government in contracts in 2021. Right to Life is opposed to the government using our taxes to fund Family Planning’s war against women, its plans for our family, its promotion of contraception, sterilisation and abortion, its LGBTQI agenda and its seduction of our youth with its promotion of promiscuity.

Family Planning supports abortion up to birth effectively for any reason; It believes that the unborn child is not a human being and does not have a right to life until it is born. It believes that it is not a crime to kill a child before birth, that abortion is a “health service” and that in the words of the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern abortion is “a reproductive choice for women.”

Family Planning is a loyal affiliate of the International Planned Parenthood [IPPF] movement which operates in 142 countries and which was, in 2020,  responsible worldwide for killing 1,120,796 innocent and defenceless unborn children.

The  IPPF was founded by Margaret Sanger,  the notorious racist and eugenics advocate, who said in 1920, “the most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”

Right to Life believes that the proposal of Family Planning provides further evidence why it is imperative that parliament defeat the anti-life “safe areas” bill of Louisa Wall. The passing of this dangerous bill into law could result in  “safe areas” around the 30 Family Planning clinics.

This would result in any person protesting outside of a clinic at the damage inflicted by Family Planning on our families, children and communities being arrested and fined up to $1,000. This would be an intolerable violation of our rights of free speech, assembly, communication and religion.

NZ Family Planning Assn Celebrate Suppression of Doctors’ Conscience by High Court.

Family Planning are at the forefront of the war against women and the unborn children in New Zealand. Jacki Edmund, the CEO of Family Planning, was delighted at the High Court decision of Justice Ellis to suppress the right of doctors who were opposed to killing their unborn patients of not referring the women to a doctor who would be prepared to kill them. Jacki Edmund in a media release proclaimed; “Great news and a victory for common sense and for people seeking abortion services“. She uses the noun people because she believes that some men have a uterus.

Family Planning is guilty of killing 257 defenceless and innocent children before birth at two of its clinics in 2020.

·       The Association believes that it is not a crime to kill a child before it is born.

·       That the unborn child is not a human being and does not have a right to life until it is born.

·       That doctors do not have a right to protect the lives of their unborn patients from the violence of abortion.

·       That doctors who wish to practise medicine  respecting the sanctity of life of their patients have no place in medicine.

·       That doctors are agents of the state and should just follow orders.

Justice Ellis in the High Court, ruled that none of the clinician’s rights were infringed or limited in the way alleged. Even if the rights had been limited, Justice Ellis said, the limits could be shown to be justified in a free and democratic society. Right to Life asks Justice Ellis; “ How can we justify the killing of  our own children in “a free and democratic society?”

Family Planning is a member of the International Planned Parenthood Association which was founded by the notorious racist and eugenicist Margaret Sanger, who said;

“The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it”.

That Sanger supported and praised the Nazi eugenic programme and supported the sterilisation of the “unfit” and their elimination through abortion. Does this explain why Family Planning support the killing of the disabled and those with Down syndrome up to birth?

Right to Life asks;” why does the government continue to fund Family Planning which is at war with women, their precious unborn and the family?”

Contraceptive Pill – 60 years of victimisation of women

Women are the victims of the sexual revolution inflicted on women with the introduction of the contraceptive pill in New Zealand in 1961. It was prophesied by Pope Paul VI in his encyclical to the world Humanae Vitae (on human life) in 1968, that the contraceptive pill would increase the moral decline in society.

 The prophetic warning contained in this teaching has tragically been fulfilled.

God is the author of life and all human life is sacred. Contraception has challenged this fundamental truth.

 Moral standards have declined. The pill has increased marital infidelity, fornication, promiscuity, divorce and the abandonment of women who heroically chose solo parenting.

The government is at the forefront of the sexual revolution and the war on women with the NZ Family Planning Association. They believe that the unborn child is not a human being and that it has no right to life until it is born, it may now be killed up to birth. The government should now cease funding the New Zealand Family Planning Association [NZFPA], as it is a threat to women and their unborn. The Association is also the biggest abortion referral agency in New Zealand, they also killed 257 unborn children in 2020 at their clinics in Tauranga and Whanganui. The Association receives annually more than $12 million in government funding.

Family Planning should be seen as a threat to our children and to the family. Family Planning continue to seduce our children and undermine parental responsibility. It is appalling that the NZFPA should continue to be funded by the government.

The contraceptive pill undermines the respect that men should have for their wives. It reduces women to objects of sexual pleasure and undermines their dignity as women and the nurturers of new life.

It treats pregnancy as a disease and promotes the killing of the unborn as health care and a backup to so called failed contraceptives.

The contraceptive pill and the long acting reversible contraceptive are abortifacient and destroy a human embryo before implantation.

The government approves and promotes promiscuity and fornication by funding the contraceptive pill not only for adults but for children as “reproductive health care”. The killing of more than 13,000 innocent and defenceless unborn children every year in New Zealand is promoted by the government as a core health service funded by the taxpayer.

It is time for the women of New Zealand to stand up and rebel against the war on women inflicted on them by the government since 1961 with the introduction of the destructive contraceptive pill. Women deserve better than the contraceptive pill, abortion, divorce and abandonment.

Letter to Andrew Little -Proposed Abortion Law Changes

Dear Minister,

Proposed Abortion Law Changes

Thank you for your letter of 11 April. You express the view that abortion should be a health service. Health services protect life and promote health. Abortion is not a health service because it results in the violent death of a patient, a defenceless and innocent human being in its first nine months of life.  How can we talk of better health outcomes when a patient has been violently killed?

I share your desire to ensure that women considering terminating the life of their child in the womb are not burdened with the unjustified and cruel burden of believing that they are criminals. The law is explicit in making it clear that women may not be charged under the Crimes Act with a crime. It should be noted that it is only Family Planning and advocates for abortion who continue to inflict this burden on women by constantly claiming falsely that the abortion law makes criminals out of women. The pro-life movement is highly protective of women and their unborn and we will never burden women with this false association with criminality.

There is, however, a stigma associated with the taking of the life of another human being. This stigma is recognised by all cultures throughout human history and one which is vitally necessary for the preservation of the human race. This prohibition of the taking of innocent human life is the foundation of the law, ethics and of medicine. It would be the height of folly to seek to remove this stigma which is protective of our humanity.

Every woman is imbued with a maternal instinct that immediately seeks to nurture and protect the developing child in her womb. Every woman, no matter how distressing the circumstances of her pregnancy, knows that it is wrong to harm her child. A woman seeking an abortion is making a cry for help. A woman does not seek an abortion like a woman seeking a Porche, but like an animal that is prepared to gnaw her leg off to free herself from a trap. We will not genuinely help women by pretending that there is no stigma and guilt associated with the killing of her child. the weakest and most defenceless member of the human family. There is no change that Parliament can make to the law to remove this stigma, because the stigma is written indelibly in our conscience and on our hearts.

In your last paragraph you state that my letter underscores my essential position on abortion when I asked the question, “Do you then believe that women should be permitted to endanger their lives by bringing about their own miscarriage or permitting someone else to do that?” You believed that my reason for posing the question was that I did not trust women to make a decision about abortion.

The issue is not trust but protection for women and the unborn. I do not believe that any person has the right to kill another human being, simply because their existence is a cause of inconvenience. The first duty of the State is to protect the human rights of every member of the community from conception to natural death and not to preside over our destruction. We have a special duty to protect the weak and the vulnerable in our community. The Royal Commission on Contraception Sterilisation and Abortion stated in its report to Parliament that “the unborn child, the weakest and most defenceless member of the human family deserved special protection from implantation.”

Abortion is also violence against women. We have a duty to protect women from coercion, domestic violence and the threat of abandonment by the father of the child if the abused woman does not have an abortion. In conclusion, I believe that our women deserve better than abortion and that we do not promote the freedom and equality of women by informing them that the state does not have any interest in protecting them and their unborn children. The changing of our laws to make killing unborn children a ‘health’ issue rather than a crime, would send a strong signal that it is a woman’s right to choose whether her chldren live or die.

Your government’s proposals to devalue innocent human life, will not only corrupt at an individual level but will metastasize to spread through our entire society. Laws have consequences; bad ideas have victims.

Killing Unborn Children -both a Tragedy and a Holocaust

Alfred Ngaro MP is applauded for his integrity and courage in daring to say the unspeakable, that “abortion is a holocaust in our nation”.  Right to Life encourages other MPs to confront this abomination and to speak up in defence of our nation’s voiceless unborn and their victimised and wounded mothers. Our women and their unborn deserve better than this abortion holocaust. Right to Life also applauds new National MP Paulo Garcia, for standing up for our unborn children in his inaugral speech in Parliament yesterday.

The dictionary declares that a holocaust is, a “huge slaughter or destruction of life”. If the violent dismembering and slaughter of more than 500,000 innocent and defenceless unborn children in New Zealand since 1978, is not a holocaust, then what is? The blood of those killed in this holocaust cries out to their Creator for justice.

It is a tragedy that the compelling objective of the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, is to make permanent the abortion holocaust by removing the unborn from the protection of the Crimes Act and to make the killing of the innocent child in the womb “a reproductive choice for women”. It would then be no longer a crime to kill the child in the womb but a health service and a human right for women for any reason, effectively up to birth. The child would in the words of Family Planning be, “the contents of the uterus and the products of conception”.

What compounds this holocaust is that it is authorised and funded by the state with the silent acquiescence of the community. Our Labour led government in its Wellbeing budget for 2019, has continued to make special provision to provide funding for this holocaust which is disguised as a core and essential health service with unlimited funding. The government has no difficulty in castigating District Health Boards for over spending in the provision of vital health services, but would never criticise them for money spent on funding this abortion holocaust.

This holocaust is destroying our nation. What future does a nation have that destroys its own children? The New Zealand abortion holocaust is part of the international abortion holocaust that destroys more than 56 million unborn children every year.

The Alabama State Senate in passing a bill recently to ban abortion and protect the lives of its children before birth,  explicitly and rightly compares, in the text of the bill,  abortion to the holocaust, executions carried out under Stalin, and the Khmer Rouge regime. In fact the abortion holocaust exceeds by greater than an order of magnitude all these combined.

NZ Family Planning – Peddlers of Death

Family Planning have revealed their plans for the decriminalisation of abortion and the killing of the unborn in its latest media release made by Jackie Edmund their CEO. It is important that the community are aware of the anti-feminist and anti-family agenda of Family Planning.

Family Planning in the 1950s was in accord with the true feminist movement that saw abortion as murder of the unborn and part of the war on women. A Family Planning pamphlet at that time had a message similar to this one from American Planned Parenthood which read “Abortion kills life after it has begun… Abortion is dangerous to your life and health”… my how things have changed.

Right to Life readily acknowledges that Family Planning employs many good health professionals who sincerely believe that they are helping women. It is indeed sad that they do not recognise the intrinsic dignity of women as life bearers and the truth that if we care and love women we will love both them and their unborn child.

The infiltration and takeover of Family Planning by the pro-abortion movement was a great loss to the women of New Zealand.

Family Planning believes:

  • That an unborn child is not a human being and does not become a human being until it is born. They warn that we should be careful not to humanise the unborn by calling it a baby or a child.
  • Killing an unborn child should be a “reproductive health choice for women“, not be a crime and that abortion should be taken out of the Crimes Act.
  • That we should have “a common sense, rational and medically informed conversation about abortion law reform”.
  • That we should “put abortion care within a health framework, managed like any other health service which puts the women at  the centre of the decision -making”.

Right to Life believes that Family Planning is not qualified to participate in “a common sense, rational and medically informed conversation about abortion law reform”. We say this because they refuse to recognise that the unborn child from conception is a human being endowed by its Creator with an inalienable right to life.

Family Planning refuses to acknowledge that abortion is violence against women and her unborn child. It refuses to acknowledge that abortion is not health care and that abortion is the only medical procedure that has the specific intention of killing an unborn child, a patient, and the weakest and most defenceless member of the human family.

Family Planning support Option A, proposed by the Law Commission. Under this option, there would be no statutory test that must be satisfied before an abortion could be performed. The decision whether to have an abortion would be made by the woman concerned in consultation with her health practitioner. This option would provide for abortion up to birth for any reason, as Jacki Edmund has said “any reason is a good reason for an abortion”. If adopted it would be the most radical abortion law in the world.

Right to Life continues to question the government as to why it continues to fund Family Planning, which is not only anti-feminist, anti-family but which is also actively undermining the morals of our children with its sex education programmes.

We must also continue to ask why the media provide an inordinate amount of coverage to Family Planning, as self- appointed spokeswomen for women when they do not represent their best interests.  Family Planning is the major abortion referral agency in New Zealand and is probably responsible for more than 100,000 abortions since 1977. Right to Life believes that it is the intention of Family Planning to turn all of their clinics into abortion mills. We call on the government to stop making all of us complicit in the killing of our children through our funding Family Planning, by payment of income tax.

Where Have All Our Children Gone?

Nearly 61,000 5 year olds will commence their schooling this week, happy and laughing, full of the joy of life. Sadly around 13,200 children who would have been the same age are missing. What would have been their joy and laughter replaced by a deathly silence. This represents nearly 520 empty class rooms of children. What a loss to our nation! They join the ranks of the 500,000 children who have been murdered in their mother’s womb since 1977. These are the children who were considered of little worth and whose lives were terminated by abortion. These are the nameless and whose only record of existence is a cold statistic in the Abortion Supervisory Committee’s annual report to Parliament of 2014.

Their absence is mourned for they were created with many talents to enrich our society. They were formed in their mother’s wombs by their Creator with loving care. Our society is impoverished by their absence. We should also have deep compassion for their mothers who will be mourning the loss of their children. Many will suffer in painful and lonely silence having been told by Family Planning that what was aborted was just the contents of the uterus; that abortion is safe and that their grief is just their imagination. Mothers, who are so often coerced into an unwanted abortion, because of their abandonment by the father or because of pressure from family and friends. [Read more…]

Abortion Violence is Not a Health Issue Jacinda Ardern

The state has a duty to protect women and their unborn from violence. In 1856 the New Zealand Parliament recognised that abortion was violence against both women and the unborn and made abortion unlawful under the Crimes Act, Part VIII Crimes against the Person. Abortion was recognised as a serious crime in the Common Law of England. 

The Labour led government of Jacinda Ardern under the guise of empowering women is proposing to decriminalise abortion and disguise the violence by calling it a “health service” this is not empowerment but slavery. 

Abortion is not health care. The government’s proposal is a shameful abandonment of women and will expose women to increased violence. This cruel deception of women perpetrated by the government is deceiving women into believing that their unborn child has no value and that the state has no interest in protecting her or her defenceless unborn. Their claim is that, when we kill an unborn child, we do no harm as it is not a human being and it therefore has no rights.

Vulnerable women will be exposed to increased coercion, physical and sexual violence from the father of their children who will be empowered to impose pressure on women to terminate the life of their children. This is because for the many women who are facing coercion to abort their child against their will, they will, if abortion is no longer a crime, have even less power to resist the coercion of the father or those pushing them in the direction of killing. NZ Government pressured unlawfully by UN CEDAW committee to decriminalise abortion.

Right to life is concerned that this UN Committee continues to unlawfully pressurise the New Zealand government and other governments to decriminalise abortion. It is abhorrent that the CEDAW Committee has hijacked the Convention for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women. The ultimate discrimination of women is to be violently killed before birth in their mother’s womb.

Jan Logie, the Under Secretary for Justice led the government delegation at the 8th Periodic Review by the CEDAW Committee at Geneva on 12 July 2018. Members representing NGOs, the New Zealand Family Planning Association and the Abortion Law Reform Association NZ also attended the Review and made a joint submission supporting the decriminalisation of abortion.

It is disappointing that the government colludes with the UN Committees in hijacking the Convention in support of the government’s determination to decriminalise abortion in New Zealand. Right to Life fully supports the Convention as originally drafted  and signed by the New Zealand government in 1980.The UN Committee unlawfully continues to interpret Article 12 of the Convention to include abortion as part of family planning services, contrary to the intentions of the General Assembly that has repeatedly rejected abortion as part of family planning services.

Clearly, the intent of Article 12 was to protect women, especially during or after pregnancy or lactation, by ensuring adequate health care to protect mother and child. Nowhere in Article 12 or in any other provision of CEDAW is there a so called “right” to abortion or abortifacients. “Family planning” and “health care services” are mentioned, but not abortion. Right to Life requests that the government cease using the unlawful interpretation of the CEDAW Convention to promote discrimination against women through its proposal to decriminalise the killing of the unborn and to make abortion a health issue of choice for women. The government should uphold the Convention by opposing the ultimate discrimination of women, the killing of women before birth.
