0800 Decide Teleheath service – murder for defenceless unborn children

Right to Life is disappointed that the government continues to promote the violent killing of our precious unborn children and violence against women as health care. The Decide programme intensifies the chemical warfare that the government is inflicting on our own children who are unique and unrepeatable miracles of God’ loving creation.

Right to Life asks, If today the government provides an 0800 number to obtain lethal drugs to kill our unborn children, will justice demand that a future government provide an 0800 phone number for our children to obtain lethal drugs to kill us when we become a burden?

Dr Ayesha Verrall, Associate Minister of Health responsible for overseeing legislation for killing the unborn and for the terminally ill, stated on Tuesday in a media release from the Beehive, “People seeking an abortion will have better access to care from today.”

“This is a huge step towards normalising and improving access to abortion care and I continue to be encouraged by the dedication of health professionals delivering this vital service.” The Minister as a woman and a mother should know that only women seek an abortion, men do not have a uterus and are not women. Cancelling out women is offensive.

Right to Life questions the safety of early medical abortions. According to information provided by Medical Statistics at the Ministry of Health there were 203 women in 2021 diagnosed with complications prior to discharge resulting from a medical abortion both early and late, resulting in an unknown number of women being admitted to hospital for a total of 54 days.

Today, 1st November, the government continues its war on women with the culmination of its National Abortion Telehealth service. Women are encouraged to dial a 0800 number to seek the killing of their unborn child. If the child is less than 10 weeks old the lethal drugs are then posted or couriered to the woman’s home.

The government claims that the Decide programme protects the rights of women. Right to Life challenges this claim because the Ministry denies the right of women to change their mind after taking Mifepristone. It refuses to allow women to save their baby by accepting progesterone treatment in accordance with the successful abortion pill reversal protocol which has saved the lives of more than 2,500 unborn babies.

The first lethal drug is Mifepristone, which kills the child by starving it of nourishment, the second drug is Misoprostol which forcibly expels the child from the sanctuary of its mother’s womb.

The Decide programme is totally focused on killing the child, this programme is silent on life alternatives such as the adoption, parenting or fostering of the child. This programme does not care about women or the unborn, it cares only about promoting abortion.

The abortion industry is a multi – million dollar industry. The government has contracted out the killing of the unborn who have been classified as unwanted. The Family Planning Association supports the killing of the unborn as a backup for failed contraception and has won a contract to implement the Decide programme with the Magma Health Care Ltd.

Our women deserve better than abortion. A nation that kills its own children is a nation without a future.

Killing their unborn children with lethal drugs further victimises Women

Right to Life is opposed to the government’s promotion of medical abortions that impose on women all the responsibility for killing their defenceless unborn child. There is no place in New Zealand for death drugs that are designed to kill babies.

Dr Ayesha Verrall, the Associate Minister of Health has been given the deplorable responsibility of promoting increased access to the killing of the unborn, preferably early and by lethal drugs. Right to Life believes that Dr Verrall, an infectious disease expert considers pregnancy a disease that requires treatment.

Pregnancy is not a disease and abortion is not health care. There is no medical condition known to humans that can be treated by killing a child in the womb. The government can do more for our women than funding the killing of more than 13,000 unborn New Zealanders every year. Dr Verrall can do more for women than offer a violent and painful death for their child.

Every day an estimated 36 unborn children are taken to hospitals and clinics in New Zealand to be poisoned, sucked out of their mother’s wombs or violently dismembered. Remember that these are potentially normal pregnancies mostly terminated for socio-economic reasons.

The Abortion Supervisory Committee in its report to Parliament in 1988 stated, “that the emphasis should be on education aimed at achieving a higher proportion of planned pregnancies than perpetuating the present unwieldy system of authorising the termination of potentially normal pregnancies on pseudo-legal grounds.”

With a medical abortion the women accepts full responsibility for the killing of her child, for it is the woman who chooses to take the lethal drugs. She alone bears the guilt, the remorse, the grief and the pain. A surgical abortion is something that is done to her by a doctor and the guilt is shared. Why are we allowing the government to inflict more pain and guilt on women with its imposition of chemical murder promoted as health care? RU-486 cheapens the value of human life even more than surgical abortions.

Information released by the Ministry of Health to Right to Life under the Official Information Act reveal that in 2020 there were 5,349 medical abortions an increase of 47.92 % over the 3,617 medical abortions performed in 2019. Surgical abortions fell from 9,262 in 2019 to 7,861 in 2020.

Medical abortions are unsafe. A Finnish study conducted in 2009 of the data on all Finnish women who had an abortion between 2000 and 2006 and were of a gestation of 63 days or less found that that even under the best conditions, chemical abortions had four times more complications than surgical abortions. Women who took abortion pills haemorrhaged over seven times more often than surgical patients, they had more failed abortions which required surgical follow-up, and suffered a 20 times greater risk of operative injuries from emergency surgery compared to surgical abortion patients.

Why are our women seeking an abortion not being given this information? As of December 2018, the US Federal Drug Admin reports that 24 women have died after taking Mifepristone for medical abortions.

Isis’ Story: The Scariest Moment Of My Life With RU-486!

The following post on the dangers of the Abortion Pill RU 486 is from the Abortion Pill Risks website. Although this story is from the United States, Right to Life points out that a women taking the abortion pill RU 486 faces similar dangers here in NZ. In fact this is the drug that NZ Family Planning has just been given permission to begin using at its Tauranga Clinic. Family Planning want to create 30 new abortion clinics across the country. Tauranga is the first. Right to Life asks if New Zealand woman have been told the truth about this terrible drug and does NZ really want to step up the killing?

On April 11, 2013, Isis, a 22-year-old college student from New York had an appointment with BWMC’s staff to obtain counseling and guidance, so she could make an informed health care decision, about terminating her early unplanned pregnancy.

After receiving her sonogram, it was determined that Isis was 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant and prescribed an alternative/off-label regimen of mifepristone and misoprostol which has not been evaluated or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Isis received the mifepristone abortion pill (RU-486, Mifeprex) to take orally at the clinic. Mifepristone inhibits and blocks the essential reproductive hormone progesterone that plays a critical role for the initiation and maintenance of pregnancy.

Before leaving the clinic, she was briefly instructed to vaginally insert misoprostol that same evening, just before bedtime, to induce contractions to expel the embryo and placental tissues.

For Isis, her experience with the clinic’s staff and the lack of information she had been given about the abortion pill procedure was a disappointing failure.
