Right to Life commends the American people for electing a pro-life President Donald Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.
Right to Life, congratulates the pro-life President-elect and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance on their outstanding win over the Democratic pro-abortion candidates Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
President-elect Donald Trump will now be the leader of the West.
Right to Life encourages our government to follow the example of the new President.
• By protecting life and opposing the killing of the unborn by legislating to protect the lives of all New Zealanders from conception to natural death.
• By recognising that the unborn child is a human being from conception endowed by its Creator with an inalienable right to Life and worthy of our respect and protection.
The Presidential election is a victory for women, unborn children and for a culture of life. In January 2025, the United States of America will have an administration that is committed to protecting the lives of every American from conception to natural death.
Vice-President Kamala Harris, Democratic vice-Presidential candidate Tim Walz, and the Democratic Party were the passionate advocates for a culture of death, they were opposed to recognising the unborn child as a human being, endowed at conception by their Creator, with an inalienable right to life. They were opposed to providing legal protection for the right to life of the unborn child, and took the most extreme abortion position possible, including support for unlimited abortions throughout pregnancy up to birth. Harris and Walz campaigned with fanatical fervour on abortion and lost their campaign.
The stunning election result was an emphatic rejection by the American voter of a culture of death promoted by the Democratic Party, and support for a culture of life championed by the Republican Party.
It is important that the United States Senate has been won by pro-life Republican candidates 52 to 44 pro-abortion Democratic candidates. It is not yet clear if the Republican Party has won control of the Congress, where they currently lead 206 seats to 191 seats.
Right to Life encourages our government to support the new American administration in promoting worldwide a culture of life and opposing a culture of death.
