Pfizer sued by U.S. states of Kansas and Texas!

.

Media Release 22 June 2024

Right to Life is encouraged that the state of Kansas is suing Pfizer for allegedly misleading its community about the effectiveness of its Covid-19 vaccine, by hiding risks while making false claims about its effectiveness. The lawsuit states that Pfizer made false statements which violated the Kansas Consumer Protection Act. It is seeking unspecified money damages.

"Pfizer made multiple misleading statements to deceive the public about its vaccine at a time when Americans needed the truth," Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, a Republican, said in a statement. The lawsuit claims that, beginning shortly after the vaccine's rollout in early 2021, Pfizer concealed evidence that the shot was linked to pregnancy complications, including miscarriage, as well as inflammation in and around the heart, known as myocarditis and pericarditis. "

Kansas authorities also said Pfizer falsely claimed that its vaccine, which was developed with German partner BioNTech for the original strain of the virus, retained a high effectiveness against mutated variants, and that it would prevent not only illness but transmission.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a similar lawsuit against Pfizer last year, which remains pending. The lawsuit accuses Pfizer of conducting a campaign to intimidate the public into getting the vaccine and argues that the company conspired to censor public discourse on the vaccine. The Kansas Attorney General has said other states had been collaborating with Kansas in its investigation and were expected to file lawsuits as well.

Pfizer has a history of fraud and the illegal promotion of certain drugs.[Footnote 1] The largest fraud case in the history of the United States Justice Department resulted in Pfizer in 2009 paying $2.3 billion, to settle civil and criminal charges.Pfizer has also been found guilty after admitting to giving bribes totalling $2 million between 1997 and 2006, to government officials in Bulgeria, Croatia, Kazakhstan and Russia. Right to Life asks, can the government give an assurance that Pfizer did not offer incentives or perks to officials in New Zealand to promote the Pfizer 19 vaccine?

Right to Life wrote to the Minister of Health on 15th February 2024, to draw his attention to the court action of the Texas Attorney General in suing Pfizer. We asked if the Minister could reassure us that the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine was safe and effective. The Minister replied on 18th March 2024 that he had noted our concerns and had forwarded our letter to Health New Zealand for its consideration and information. It is disappointing that we are now going to have to await the protracted legal proceedings initiated by the Kansas and Texas Attorney Generals to learn that the Pfizer Covid 19 experimental gene therapy is neither effective or safe.
