The Ministry of Health issued a public release on the Abortion Pill Reversal programme with Progesterone on 11 July 2024.The Ministry of Health issued a public release on the Abortion Pill Reversal programme with Progesterone on 11 July 2024.

The release stated that “Abortion reversal is not established by clinical research trials and could lead to severe side effects and adverse outcomes.”

  • What clinical trials have been conducted that have established that the abortion pill reversal programme with progesterone does not stop the abortion nor does it result in a live birth?

  • What clinical trials have been conducted that have established that the abortion pill reversal programme with progesterone could lead to severe side effects and adverse outcomes?

  • What are the possible side effects and adverse outcomes that could result from the implementation of the abortion pill reversal programme with progesterone?

Heartbeat International has presented evidence from its network of 1,200 doctors throughout the world that more than 6,000 babies have been born alive following the reversal of an early medical abortion with progesterone in accordance with the abortion pill reversal procedure.

  • On what grounds has the Ministry of Health rejected this evidence of the safe birth of 6,000 babies that the abortion pill reversal programme is safe and effective?
