Since the outset of the Covid “Pandemic”, Right to Life has questioned the official narratives on the origin of Covid, the mandated treatments and the safety of those treatments. We are also opposed  the on-going government promotion of the so called vaccines.

Birth Rates Take a Dive: It’s been nine months since the peak of COVID-19 vaccinations and birth rates have taken a plunge. Nineteen countries with highly vaccinated populations saw a decline in births by  the end of 2022. The data suggests that this infertility may be caused by the vaccine, rather than being a highly coincidental correlation.

“We’ve known from the outset that the vaccine was causing menstrual irregularities, miscarriages, and stillbirths,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “And yet government after government continued to push them on women in their reproductive years who were at virtually zero risk from Covid. This is population control by another name.”

West Coast succumbs to government’s culture of death

Right to Life believes that a region that kills its own children does not have a future. The West Coast is in serious decline, there are more deaths than births on the Coast. Introducing an abortion “service” is insanity. West Coasters should rise up and protest at the killing of their children and the wounding of their women and demand that it cease.       

Right to Life joins with the community on the West Coast in lamenting the killing of their innocent unborn by the West Coast District Health Board. [WCDHB] at the direction of the Jacinda Ardern government, under the guise that this is a health service. These beautiful children, unrepeatable miracles of God’s loving creation, should be offered up for open adoption into loving West Coast homes.

The Board that should be dedicated to protecting life and promoting the health of West Coasters hails the introduction of abortion as a health service. Shame on the Board for failing to protect the weakest and most defenceless members of the human family your precious unborn.

It is highly commendable that the West Coast has been abortion free as doctors employed by the  WCDHB have commendably up to now refused to have anything to do with the killing of the innocent.

There were 291 children born on the West Coast in 2020. Right to Life estimates that there will be 60 unborn children killed each year, the majority of whom will be killed by the WCDHB.

The West Coast needs more babies, every baby born on the Coast is a treasure to be protected and loved. The West Coast is facing a demographic winter which will be aggravated by the local DHBs killing of the unborn.

The current population of the Coast is 32,400 which is expected to decline to 30,600 in 2048. In the last ten years those over 65 years of age have increased by 2,000 and those under 65 decreased by 2,600.

The Executive Director – Midwifery and Maternity Services, Norma Campbell  says “that these services have been implemented to increase accessibility and address inequities in service provision by removing barriers and delays while also offering several choices”. This is language that seeks to make lies acceptable and killing respectable. The government will never deceive women into believing that their child in the womb is not a human being with a right to life until it is born. Nor will they believe that it is not a crime to kill their child and that every woman has a right to kill their child up to birth, authorised and funded by the government.

This is not a service to women or to their precious defenceless unborn children. Previously women had the inconvenience of travelling to Christchurch to have their unborn children poisoned, sucked out of their womb or painfully and violently dismembered. Now their unborn can be killed locally or at home if they qualify for an early medical abortion. Is this the best that the government can do for Coast women?

Abortions will be provided locally if the child does not have a gestation of more than 12 weeks and one day. Older babies will be referred to the Gynaecological Procedure Unit at the Christchurch Women’s Hospital to be killed, with their mortal remains to be treated as medical waste to be disposed of at the local tip.

A region that kills its own children does not have a future.

Family Planning – promoting a culture of death

Right to Life is concerned that Family Planning in their war against women and their precious unborn children are seeking to deceive women into believing that the murder of the unborn child in a medical abortion is a miscarriage.

 Family Planning states on its web site that ”an early medical abortion brings on a miscarriage similar to a natural miscarriage.”

“Two medications are taken for an EMA. Usually, the medications are taken two days apart, but if the pregnancy is less than seven weeks (49 days) you may be able to take both medications on the same day.”

“Once you have taken the medication you go home to miscarry the pregnancy.”

Family Planning is seeking to deceive women into believing that a medical abortion is similar to a miscarriage, however it isn’t. The medical definition of a miscarriage is, ”spontaneous or unplanned expulsion of a fetus from the womb, before 20 weeks”.

To call an abortion a miscarriage is untrue and is deeply offensive to women who have experienced pain and grief from the tragic loss of a much loved and wanted baby.

Family Planning is at the forefront in promoting the killing of children in the womb who are unwanted. It supported the decriminalisation of abortion and the right of women to kill their baby for any reason up to birth. It does not recognise the humanity of the unborn child nor does it recognise the child’s right to life. It does not recognise the unborn child as a unique and unrepeatable miracle of God’s loving creation.

Family Planning is the major abortion referral agency in New Zealand.

In 2020, 246 unborn children were killed at its Tauranga clinic.

Family Planning is a loyal affiliate of the International Planned Parenthood Federation [IPPF] that was responsible for the killing of more than one million unborn children in 2020. Planned Parenthood supports the forced abortion policy of the Chinese government.

The IPPF promotes worldwide a culture of death under the guise of promoting a “woman’s right to choose”,  but this is a lie. The IPPF and the NZFPA are complicit in the most horrendous human rights abuses against women that the world has ever known. The Chinese Family Planning Association became an affiliate of IPPF in 1983. The IPPF has funded the Chinese Family Planning Association and has cooperated with it in implementing China’s notorious one child family policy, which has now been relaxed.

China’s one child family policy started in 1979, and has resulted in forced abortions, 196 million compulsory sterilisations, the mandatory insertion of 403 million forced intrauterine devices, punitive fines, imprisonment, destruction of homes and loss of employment.

Sex selection abortions have resulted in 37 million missing girls. Since 1971 there have been 330 million abortions in China.

Right to Life challenges Family Planning to tell the women of New Zealand how the Association  can condone the massive human rights abuses against women in China and claim that they support a women’s right to choose to have a baby?

Right to Life asks, why does the government continue to fund IPPF and the NZFPA in its unrelenting war against women. Why too does the media refuse to expose the anti- life agenda of the NZFPA and treats Family Planning as the champions of women?

Government’s Continuing Deafening Silence On Catastrophic Birth Rate

Should we expect our Labour government that promotes and funds the violent killing of our precious children before birth to be concerned about our appalling fertility rate? Is the Prime Minister seeking to promote a one child family policy? Why too are the Churches silent? Our birth rate has been below replacement level since 1975.

Why is the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern and her government, silent in response to New Zealand’s appalling birth rate? Our nation is facing an increasing demographic winter which will have a catastrophic effect on the future of this nation. We have an increasing ageing community with a declining workforce to support them and look after them. Why does the government not have a policy to increase our birth rate and confront this crisis?

Statistics NZ have announced that our fertility rate is now 1.60, the lowest ever recorded in New Zealand since 1894. The replacement birth rate is 2.1 for women between the ages of 15 and 44. Demographers warn that a birth rate of 1.5 is the point of no return. In the year ended March 2021, compared with the year ended March 2020: there were 57,105 live births registered, down from 59,238. there were 32,907 deaths registered, down from 34,518.

Our birth rate has been in decline since the 1960s when the contraceptive pill was introduced. In 1931 at the height of the great depression, the birth rate was 3.61. In 1974 the birth rate was 2.12, just above replacement level and that was the last year that we had a replacement birth rate.

Right to Life applauds the courageous women who sacrifice themselves by choosing to have children and raise them in spite of the formidable obstacles confronting them, especially the thousands of solo mothers who are raising children alone. We also applaud the noble women who chose life for their baby in the face of abandonment of the father and coercion to choose abortion.

Right to Life believes that there are many reasons for this crisis.

The Labour government of Jacinda Ardern has undermined motherhood, the dignity of the family and the humanity of the unborn child by passing the Abortion Legislation Act which promotes the fiction that the child is not a human being until it is born. It is now no longer a crime to kill an unborn child but in the words of our Prime Minister, “a reproductive choice for women.”

·       The breakdown of marriage in New Zealand.

·       Divorce and the abandonment of women.

·       Contraception, sterilisation and the Same Sex Marriage Act 2013.

·       Abortion, one in five potentially normal pregnancies ends in the killing of the child in the womb. Each year more than 13,000 innocent and defenceless unborn children are poisoned, violently dismembered or sucked out of their mother’s womb. Each child is a unique and unrepeatable miracle of God’s loving creation.

·       The failure of the government to promote open adoption as a loving option in preference to the violent killing of the child in an abortion.

·       The excessive cost of housing, both building and rental. New Zealand is the second most expensive country in the OECD to raise a child.

·       The economic pressure on women to be in the workforce in preference to being a dedicated mother at home raising a family.

The government needs to urgently publicly acknowledge the demographic crisis and formulate a policy to promote marriage exclusively between one woman and one man and to promote child rearing. Two thirds of countries in Europe have measures to encourage fertility, baby bonuses, tax incentives and paid parental leave. Even China is now promoting three children per family.

Contraceptive Pill – 60 years of victimisation of women

Women are the victims of the sexual revolution inflicted on women with the introduction of the contraceptive pill in New Zealand in 1961. It was prophesied by Pope Paul VI in his encyclical to the world Humanae Vitae (on human life) in 1968, that the contraceptive pill would increase the moral decline in society.

 The prophetic warning contained in this teaching has tragically been fulfilled.

God is the author of life and all human life is sacred. Contraception has challenged this fundamental truth.

 Moral standards have declined. The pill has increased marital infidelity, fornication, promiscuity, divorce and the abandonment of women who heroically chose solo parenting.

The government is at the forefront of the sexual revolution and the war on women with the NZ Family Planning Association. They believe that the unborn child is not a human being and that it has no right to life until it is born, it may now be killed up to birth. The government should now cease funding the New Zealand Family Planning Association [NZFPA], as it is a threat to women and their unborn. The Association is also the biggest abortion referral agency in New Zealand, they also killed 257 unborn children in 2020 at their clinics in Tauranga and Whanganui. The Association receives annually more than $12 million in government funding.

Family Planning should be seen as a threat to our children and to the family. Family Planning continue to seduce our children and undermine parental responsibility. It is appalling that the NZFPA should continue to be funded by the government.

The contraceptive pill undermines the respect that men should have for their wives. It reduces women to objects of sexual pleasure and undermines their dignity as women and the nurturers of new life.

It treats pregnancy as a disease and promotes the killing of the unborn as health care and a backup to so called failed contraceptives.

The contraceptive pill and the long acting reversible contraceptive are abortifacient and destroy a human embryo before implantation.

The government approves and promotes promiscuity and fornication by funding the contraceptive pill not only for adults but for children as “reproductive health care”. The killing of more than 13,000 innocent and defenceless unborn children every year in New Zealand is promoted by the government as a core health service funded by the taxpayer.

It is time for the women of New Zealand to stand up and rebel against the war on women inflicted on them by the government since 1961 with the introduction of the destructive contraceptive pill. Women deserve better than the contraceptive pill, abortion, divorce and abandonment.

Is the government really serious about condemning Genocide?

Parliament is commended for debating a resolution on serious human rights abuses including genocide by the Chinese Communist Party against the Muslim Uyghur people in China.

 Parliament unanimously passed a motion that declared that “severe human rights abuses are occurring against the Uyghur people.”

 Right to Life is disappointed that Parliament, in our view, readily recognises human rights abuses and genocide in China, but does not recognise that the New Zealand government has been vigorously conducting an organised campaign of genocide since 2010, against the unborn child diagnosed with Down syndrome, euphemistically called a “quality improvement program.”

The New Zealand government is a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The Convention was passed by the General Assembly on 9 December 1948.

Article II: In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Right to Life believes that the National government of John Key in 2010 adopted a screening program that was expected to destroy the most persecuted group in New Zealand.

This program of screening for Down syndrome and other disabilities was enthusiastically adopted by the government of Jacinda Ardern in 2017.

The National government of John Key instituted the “Antenatal Screening for Down Syndrome and other conditions – Quality Improvements” program.

This program was introduced by the Ministry of Health following advice from the Ministry’s National Screening Unit [NSU] without public consultation. Cabinet papers obtained under the Official Information Act state that the outcomes of the program will be a reduction in the number of births of people with Down syndrome, with around 90% of unborn children diagnosed with the condition being aborted. It is currently achieving 60% reduction.

The preventing of birth of a group of people falls within the definition of genocide under international law.

Documentation obtained under the Official Information Act from the Ministry of Health included the document Summary of Key Informant Interviews Antenatal Down Syndrome Screening Final Report which states : “The program will be cost beneficial for the population and the health system. The scan highlighted literature that supported the premise that the economic costs of screening outweigh the high costs associated with the long term care needs of an individual with Down syndrome.

This program discriminates against the disabled:-

Right to Life believes that this screening program constitutes genocide as it: “seeks the Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group,”

It is eugenics in promoting only the birth of the perfect.

It is a violation of the sanctity of life and a  crime against humanity.

Babies killed for socio-economic reasons in late term abortions?

Right to Life requests that the Minister of Justice advise the community why babies of 20 plus weeks gestation are being killed in late term abortions for what we believe are socio-economic reasons.

The Director General of Health, Dr Ashley Bloomfield, recently advised that many babies post 20 weeks are being violently killed in late term abortions for reasons other than severe foetal abnormality, or danger to the life or health of the mother. Dr Bloomfield presides over the abortion industry in New Zealand and reported recently that District Health Boards had difficulty in recruiting staff for late term abortions after 20 weeks gestation that were being done for reasons other than severe foetal abnormality or where there was a severe health risk to the woman. Abortionists are not required to advise the Ministry of Health of the reasons for the killing of any child in an abortion. 

The Hon. Andrew Little, Minister of Health, previously Minister of Justice, told Parliament when he presented the Abortion Legislation Act for its first reading, “The evidence is that virtually all abortions carried out after 20 weeks are because of severe foetal abnormality or because there is a severe risk to the women’s life or physical health.”

This information is incorrect, as both Parliament and the community were misled. Statistics NZ provided Right to Life with information that of the 76 abortions performed at 20 weeks gestation or more in 2018,

  • 4 were for danger to life of the woman,
  • 5 were danger to the physical health,
  • 69 were danger to mental health, and
  • 2 were for a handicapped child.

Right to Life accepts the evidence of the Abortion Supervisory Committee given to a select committee in Parliament in 1995, that mental health was used as grounds to provide abortion on demand for socio-economic reasons.

Human life begins at conception and every child is endowed by its Creator with a right to life, this is refuted by the Minister of Health, Andrew Little and the government of Jacinda Ardern, who reject the scientific evidence that human life begins at conception and that at no stage is it not a human being. This denial of the unborn’s humanity is a legal fiction which provides a smoke screen to hide the war against women and their unborn.

The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, publicly proclaimed in 2018 that she was going to lead the most accountable and transparent government we had ever seen. Right to Life  believes that the Minister of Health has a duty to the community to explain why it  is considered “appropriate “  to kill a child in a late term abortion up to birth for social or economic reasons.

Is Jacinda Ardern a good role model for our children?

 The Prime Minister, who has many fine qualities, is giving our children the message that traditional marriage exclusively between one woman and one man does not matter and that it is acceptable to deliberately have children outside of wedlock.

The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, is asking us to elect her to lead our nation for another three years. It is a great privilege to be chosen to lead our nation. The person who is chosen to lead should be a role model for our children and grandchildren. Those who govern do so with the permission of the governed.

It is a matter of great concern for many in our community that the Prime Minister is giving a message to our children that a marriage exclusively between one man and one woman does not matter. This is an anti-feminist message that is harmful to women, men and children.

The natural family of exclusively – one man and one woman, is the foundation of a strong and healthy society. Where the natural family goes, so does society. It is imperative that those who wish to have our permission to govern us recognize that the state is at the service of the natural family. At this moment in history the natural family of exclusively one man and one woman is the object of numerous forces seeking to destroy it. The future of our nation and the well-being of society are intimately tied to the good of the family.

A government orientated toward public welfare and responsible parents, owe it to the next generation to prepare them for natural marriage exclusively between one woman and one man as a family. The electorate has a right and a duty to ensure that they elect only those who are going to defend and promote the natural family and be role models for our children and grandchildren.

New Zealand has a birth rate of 1.879. The replacement birth rate is 2.1. Right to Life  wrote to the Prime Minister on 1st March 2018 asking under the Official Information Act if she supports the natural family and is concerned at our below replacement. The Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Mike Munro, refused our request on the grounds that the information did not exist. Do we want a Prime Minister who does not support the natural family and is unconcerned that our nation is committing demographic suicide?

Parliamentary Population and Development Group Ignores Population Crisis

Since the introduction of the contraceptive pill into New Zealand in 1961 the government has been unwittingly funding a war on women, children and the family.

Wednesday 11 July was World Population Day which focused on the importance of population issues. To mark the day the New Zealand Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD) issued a media release to draw attention to the human rights linked to sexual and reproductive health. Right to Life questions the NZPPD’s focus on sexual and reproductive health which includes the promotion of contraception, sterilisation, abortion and sex education.

 It is disappointing that the NZPPD does not recognise that contraception, sterilisation and abortion represent violence against women. A genuine feminist position that supports the dignity and human rights of women would be seeking to protect women from this culture of violence and death.

 The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern supports the war on women with contraception, sterilisation and abortion. She was the architect of the Abortion Legislation Act 2020 which makes it no longer a crime to kill an unborn baby. In response to an Official Information Act request from Right to Life, she advised that she had no policy to support a birth rate of 2.1 or to promote marriage as exclusively between one man and one woman. 

Contraception. sterilisation and abortion will not make women free but slaves to men who refuse to honour the dignity of women who are called by our Creator to co-operate with Him in creating new life. 

Women have an absolute right to decide if and when they wish to become pregnant. Why is it in the interest of women to take powerful drugs which simulate a permanent pregnancy in the body in order that they are available to men?

Contraception is a serious threat to the future of this nation. The governments continued promotion and funding of contraception is contributing to the destruction of our community. It is disappointing that the NZPPD does not recognise that New Zealand is facing a demographic crisis. Our birth rate is a catastrophic 1.89  and has been in decline since 1960. In 1959 our birth rate was a commendable 4.026. We believe that It was the introduction of the contraceptive pill in 1961 which was the cause of the birth rate dramatically declining to 2.055 in 1981 to below replacement level. This is a population crisis, why is the NZPPD, Parliament and the government not concerned?

Contributing to the population crisis is the dramatic decline in traditional marriages which are exclusively between one woman and one man. Our marriage rate at 9.8 per 1,000 persons over the age of 16 in 2019 was the lowest since 1960, the peak was 45.5 in 1971. Contraception has adversely affected marriage as men can now have ready access to women without the need to make a permanent commitment to women in marriage.

There is a correlation between a decline in marriage rates and an impact on children and families. A reduction  in marriage rates could have a negative social impact on children with an increase in child poverty and abuse. Why is the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, the Minister for Child Poverty Reduction not concerned?

If the government is really serious about population issues why is it not addressing the crisis that confronts us?
