Right to Life applauds the Prime Minister’s commitment to ensure that every child in New Zealand gets the best start in life. This commitment was made on the 12 December 2017 when she announced that she was proud to announce that her government’s plans would lift 88,000 children out of poverty by 2021. It is our nation’s shame that one third of our children live in poverty.
A much greater poverty however, is to be deprived of your life before you are born. The best start for children would be to allow them to be born. Every year in New Zealand more than 12,000 of our children are killed in their mother’s womb. The Prime Minister who is passionate about protecting children has appointed herself as the Minister of Child Poverty Reduction. Science declares that Life commences t conception.The Prime Minister is surely Minister for all children including unborn children the weakest and most defenceless members of our human family. Right to Life asks: ‘Why Prime Minister, are you discriminating against our most vulnerable children?’
