Right to Life believes that Christopher Luxon is not a statesman, but a politician who is prepared to support and fund the war on women and the murder of innocent unborn children to attain political office.
Right to Life believes that all authority comes from our Creator and that the duty of Parliament is to protect the lives of every human being from conception to natural death. Parliament also has a duty to legislate for the common good and to promote a just society.
We believe Christopher Luxon is mistaken in seemingly holding the belief that he can uphold his integrity by separating his faith from his politics.
Christopher Luxon stated on Newshub on 1st December 2021, that “we have a separation of politics and faith, we should not be selecting an MP because of their faith. “On Radio NZ he said, ”I am not just here for one group or one interest or one topic.”
New Zealand was founded by men and women of faith who were enlightened and motivated by a strong Christian faith which sustained their belief in the sanctity of life of every individual and a just society.
Faith in our Creator informs us and ensures that we have an informed conscience to enable us to do good and to avoid doing evil. Christopher Luxon claims unconvincingly to aspire to emulate the outstanding example of William Wilberforce who devoted twenty years as an MP at Westminster campaigning for the abolition of slavery. Wilberforce was motivated by his strong Christian faith and his recognition of the sanctity of life of every human being, whether free or slave which permeated his politics. Never did he succumb to the falsehood proclaimed by his many political opponents that slavery was settled law.
Christopher Luxon states that he is not here for any group. Our unborn children are the most persecuted group in New Zealand. Today the most dangerous place for a New Zealander is in its mother’s womb. It is estimated that every day thirty-six children are poisoned, sucked out of their mother’s womb or violently and painfully dismembered. This is an abomination that cries out to heaven for vengeance. Why is he not prepared to protect our unborn children?
How can Christopher Luxon seek to govern our country when his faith informs him that the killing of a defenceless unborn child is “murder” and that his politics tell him that it is a “health service,” which he promises to continue funding under any government that he leads? Abortion is no more a health service than were the gas chambers at Auschwitz. Why should we trust Christopher Luxon to govern us and protect our lives when he refuses to protect our precious unborn children?
