Right to Life is in mourning at the death of our beloved patron the late Father Pat Kennedy who died on Saturday 13th August. Father Pat was 95 years of age and died at Nazareth House in Christchurch. He was a very faithful and much loved priest who was chaplain at the Chancery Lane chapel for many years.
Father Pat was a great defender of life and a supporter of Right to Life. He gave great witness to the sanctity of life and the right to life of God’s precious infants. He was prepared to oppose the killing of the unborn by being arrested with a group of members of Right to Life on four occasions for trespass when praying and participating in an organised rescue to protest at the killing of unborn children at the Lyndhurst abortion clinic. May he rest in peace.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, 373 Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Friday, August 19, at 1.30pm, interment thereafter at the Memorial Park Cemetery
