Media Release 15 June 2022
Right to Life asks who is the greatest threat to innocent life in New Zealand – the government that funds and authorises the killing of 13,000 innocent and defenceless unborn children each year, or the criminal gangs?
Right to Life believes that the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern and the leader of the National Party, Christopher Luxon are not consistent in opposing violence in our community.
The Prime Minister is commended for opposing the increased violence inflicted on our community by gangs with 20 recent drive by shootings.
Right to Life asks, why then is she silent on the horrific violence inflicted on women and the unborn with abortion that is funded and authorised by her government under a law that she carefully designed. This violence results in an estimated 36 unborn children each day being poisoned, sucked out of their mother’s wombs or being violently dismembered with their limbs being torn from their tiny bodies.
The community will not be deceived by this cruel charade which seeks to portray the government as our protector when Right to Life asks who presents the greatest threat to life, the government that funds the killing of more than 13,000 innocent and defenceless unborn children each year or the criminal gangs?
The leader of the National Party, Christopher Luxon, is to be commended for opposing the violence of the gangs. On 11th June he stated; “New Zealanders deserve to feel safe in their homes and communities.”
Today the most dangerous place for a New Zealander is in the mother’s womb. The womb is the home of the unborn child, it should be a place of security. It is disappointing that Christopher Luxon, who is passionate about opposing gang violence, is responding with a deafening silence to the silent scream of unborn children who protest at being violently and painfully killed with their bodily remains treated as medical waste to be disposed of at the local tip under the guise that it is a health service.
Right to Life is disappointed that Christopher Luxon, who is inspired by William Wilberforce, refuses to acknowledge that the unborn child is a human being with a right to life until it is born, this is slavery where the child becomes the property of the mother.
He has made it clear that his government will accept the killing of our children up to birth effectively for any reason as “settled law” and he has no intention of seeking to change the law, he has “other priorities.”
Right to Life asks the Prime Minister and Christopher Luxon, if you refuse to protect the defenceless unborn child why should we trust you to protect the born?
