Why is the New Zealand Cancer Society refusing to provide the women of New Zealand with information on the link between abortion and breast cancer? In November 2015 Right to Life asked the Cancer Society why the following statement could not be shown on its web site:
“That an abortion leaves a woman with more cancer vulnerable cells than she had before the abortion.” In view of the fact that this biological fact is accepted by the scientific community, is there any reason why this information cannot be shown?
The Cancer Society replied that; ”Based on our review of the evidence the Society will not currently be changing our position on the suggested link between abortion and breast cancer.”
Right to Life believes that the Cancer Society has a serious duty to the women of New Zealand to provide them with this important information. To refuse to show it is shameful.
How many women must die, before the medical profession and the Cancer Society admit the inconvenient truth that abortions increase the risk of breast cancer?
It is a human tragedy that each year 650 women die in New Zealand from breast cancer. Every year 2800 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Ninety five per cent of women contracting breast cancer are over the age of forty. It has been known since 1957 from a Japanese study that women who had an abortion increased the risk of breast cancer. There are many studies that have been conducted worldwide that provide irrefutable proof of the link between abortion and breast cancer. Abortions are promoted as being “safe “for women: they are not. It is politically incorrect to admit that abortion hurts women. The fact that ideology trumps science, means that women are not being warned of the abortion breast cancer link.
Dr Joel Brind PhD, internationally renowned researcher in 1996, completed a mega – analysis of twenty three international studies and found that eighteen studies disclosed a link between abortion and breast cancer. Recent studies have been completed in Sri Lanka, China, India, Bangladesh, Iran and Turkey which revealed a substantial increase in breast cancer following an abortion. There has been a 40 per cent increase in breast cancer in China since the introduction of its one child family policy with forced abortions in 1979. Women under the age of eighteen who have an abortion double the risk of breast cancer. Multiple abortions also result in an increasing risk of breast cancer. There have been no studies on the link between abortion and breast cancer conducted in New Zealand. Right to Life asks in view of the clear evidence from overseas, why not?
How does an abortion increase the risk of breast cancer? Early in pregnancy, during the first trimester, hormones stimulate breast development in preparation for milk production. That development occurs in two phases, both of which have to complete or the woman runs a risk of breast cancer. In the first phase, the hormone oestrogen makes breast cells multiply rapidly. This rapid increase in multiplying breast cells continues until about the 32nd week. At that point, in a normal pregnancy, fresh chemical messengers instruct the breast cells to convert from multiplying cells, to milk production cells. Once a ‘multiplying’ cell has been converted to a ‘milk production’ cell there is no risk of breast cancer. If the pregnancy is violently terminated by an abortion the cells are left undifferentiated and this increases the risk of developing breast cancer.
The world faces a pandemic of breast cancer that will kill many women. There is a conspiracy of silence constructed by the medical profession and supported by the media. Again we ask ow many women must die before the medical profession admits the inconvenient truth that abortions increase the risk of breast cancer?
