Media Release 28th September 2014
The IPPF have launched an international campaign through its 161 affiliates including the New Zealand Family Planning Association [NZFPA] to make the murder of the unborn safe and legal and accepted as a human right. This is an acceleration of its war against women and the unborn. The NZFPA have declared Sunday 28 September, decriminalisation of abortion day. They seek to remove the stigma associated with murder by taking abortion out of the Crimes Act. Declaring that that is no longer a crime to kill an unborn child, pretending that it is a health issue and the killing of the unborn a health service.
The IPPF promotes a culture of death worldwide under the guise of promoting a “woman’s right to choose”. This is a lie. The IPPF and the NZFPA are complicit in the most horrendous human rights abuses against women that the world has ever known. The Chinese Family Planning Association became an affiliate of IPPF in 1983. The IPPF has funded the Chinese Family Planning Association and has cooperated with it in implementing China’s one child family policy.
China’s one child family policy started in 1979, has resulted in forced abortions, 196 million compulsory sterilisations, the forced insertion of 403 million intrauterine devices, punitive fines, imprisonment, destruction of homes and loss of employment. Sex selection abortions have resulted in 37 million missing girls in that country.
Dr Gil Greer, former executive director of the NZFPA and Director General of IPPF told the Chinese news agency, Xinhua in 2009, that China’s family planning policy has contributed a great deal to China’s remarkable economic and social achievements over the past 30 years. In 2012 Dr Greer, stated that China has reduced its population growth rate and alleviated problems from over population. In 2012 Dr Greer was honoured by the Queen with a knighthood, the CBE for services to women.
Right to Life challenges Family Planning to tell the women of New Zealand how the Association can condone the massive human rights abuses against women in China and claim that they support a women’s right to choose to have a baby?
Right to Life asks, why does the government continue to fund IPPF and the NZFPA in its unrelenting war against women? Why too does the media treat Family Planning as the champions of women?
