Import and Export of Gametes and Embryos
Thank you for this opportunity to make a submission on these important questions. At the outset I wish to state that our Society upholds the natural law of our Creator in pro-creation. We believe that human life begins at conception and that at conception the new human being is endowed by its Creator with human rights, the foundation right being a right to life. From conception the new human being should be accorded the respect that is due to the human person. We are therefore opposed to the creation of human embryos in a petri dish. We also believe that human gametes should be treated with great respect and we are therefore opposed to them being subject to import and export.

Question 7: No response
Question 8: Ranking issues in importance 6, 2, 5, 4, 3, 1, NA
Question 9: I believe that if human embryos are to be created in IVF that only the number of embryos required for implantation at that time are created. We are totally opposed to the creation of a number of embryos to allow the clinician to choose which ones he will use and to either discard or store those not required at that time. Every human embryo is a unique and unrepeatable miracle of creation. To discard or store human embryos is a massive violation of the human rights of the embryo. Every human embryo has a right not to be discarded or stored and frozen. It also has a right not to be experimented on or to be used for stem cell research. Our Creator exhibited great wisdom in providing for the pro creation of children to take place in the mother’s womb away from the destructive hands of man. It is becoming increasingly clear that it would have been wise for man to have respected God’s plan for pro-creation.
Right to Life.
