Right to Life applauds the Prime Minister’s commitment to ensure that every child in New Zealand gets the best start in life. This commitment was made on the 12 December 2017 when she announced that she was proud to announce that her government’s plans would lift 88,000 children out of poverty by 2021. It is our nation’s shame that one third of our children live in poverty.
A much greater poverty however, is to be deprived of your life before you are born. The best start for children would be to allow them to be born. Every year in New Zealand more than 12,000 of our children are killed in their mother’s womb. The Prime Minister who is passionate about protecting children has appointed herself as the Minister of Child Poverty Reduction. Science declares that Life commences t conception.The Prime Minister is surely Minister for all children including unborn children the weakest and most defenceless members of our human family. Right to Life asks: ‘Why Prime Minister, are you discriminating against our most vulnerable children?’
Why is the government not conducting a vigorous campaign to promote open adoption as a loving option in opposition to the violence of abortion?
The government has 17 items to measure child poverty. The Prime Minister should be aware that the most dangerous place for a child in New Zealand is in its mother’s womb. Here are the top five criteria for measuring child poverty. These are important for a child’s wellbeing but are insignificant when considered along with the ultimate poverty, being deprived of your life before birth.
Enforced Lack of Essentials
- Meal with meat, fish or chicken (or vegetarian equivalent) at least each second day
- Two pairs of shoes in good repair and suitable for everyday use
- Suitable clothes for important or special occasions
- Presents for family and friends on special occasions
- Home contents insurance
During the years 2010 to 2014 a total of 108 children died from neglect and maltreatment in New Zealand. Since the Contraception Sterilisation and Abortion Act was passed in 1977 more than 500,000 innocent and defenceless children have been murdered in their mother’s wombs. This is a crime against humanity. It is with sadness and horror that we expect that during the next three years that the Prime Minister holds office more than 36,000 children in the womb will be cruelly murdered with the approval of her government and funded by funds set aside in her government’s budget specifically for this purpose.
Jacinda Ardern, if she is really serious about reducing child poverty is now in a unique and privileged position to become the champion and saviour of our precious unborn children and the protector of their abused and exploited mothers. We earnestly pray that she will accept this challenge that will define her place in history.

To be fair though, the government is also easing up on the coercive, stigmatising treatment of solo mothers at WINZ insofar as Domestic Purposes Benefit payments go, which may provide encouragement for women to give life to their unborn child because they can be assured of government income support, rather than being coerced by bullying WINZ pro-abortionist eugenicists into having abortions. Which, as we both know, does happen and is tolerated within that government department whenever National and ACT are in power.
